Many
times the only problem with a sound system is that it has been
patched together over time by several different people. This leaves it partially working, and partially... well, you
know. In most cases we can come in and rewire it. Often it's nothing more than
improperly patched cables. Once corrected, the existing system may work for years to come.

Many failures are caused by dust buildup. Dust and dirt are attracted to static on
the heat sink fins. Thick dust shortens the life of your
equipment, and causes it to draw more power and overheat. Basic cleaning and maintenance by Sound and Light Technicians can help prevent this. A good
professional amplifier can last for decades if it's well taken care of,
but left on its own, it may only last a year or two.

Video, Lighting, and DMX projection units need to be cleaned even more often than power amplifiers. The components inside are subjected to heat from bulbs that can reach 2000 degrees. Imagine what happens to the electronics, LCD, color filters, and motors when they overheat. When lights and projectors cost anywhere from $500 to $20,000, how can you afford not to have them cleaned?
